The least popular form of gaming, Interactive TV, is a platform which consists of cheap games such as interactive DVDs or other games that can be found on a channel’s red button, either as playful meaningless games or where you
can gamble with real money.
The more popular form of interactive TV is red button games which can vary from game to game depending on what channel you’re currently viewing. Some channels have games for whatever
show you’re currently watching, and other channels just have dedicated games for their whole channel.
Other games, such as Interactive DVDs, are games that you buy for your DVD player and you play selecting the buttons on the menu. Examples include Deal or No Deal and Coronation Street DVDs.
Conclusion
Generally, this form of gaming is in no way popular and no way social, and isn’t really considered ‘gaming’ by anyone at all. It has little-to-no future in the world of gaming, and is only considered playable by the most casual gamers.
